About University of Warwick
The University of Warwick, founded in 1965, is one of the UK's most successful post-war universities. Despite its relative youth, it has risen to consistently rank in the UK top 10 and global top 70. Warwick is known for its strong economics department, world-class business school (WBS) and distinctive interdisciplinary approach.
Warwick is a campus university set in 700 acres of Warwickshire countryside, just south of Coventry. Its Warwick Arts Centre is the largest multi-venue arts complex in the UK outside London. The university has a notably entrepreneurial culture — it was one of the first UK universities to develop a science park and has strong ties to industry.
For North American students, Warwick offers a rigorous academic experience that's particularly strong in economics, business, mathematics, engineering and theatre studies. Its campus feel will be familiar to students used to North American university campuses, and its Midlands location provides easy access to both London and the north of England.

Campus & Student Life
Warwick's 700-acre campus has everything on site — accommodation, teaching, sports, the arts centre, shops and restaurants. The Students' Union is one of the most active in the UK, and the Warwick Arts Centre hosts major touring productions. Campus is self-contained (sometimes described as a 'bubble'), which creates strong community bonds. Coventry is the nearest city, and Leamington Spa (a more upmarket town) is popular for nights out.

Warwick accepts AP scores (typically 5,5,5 for top programmes), IB diploma (36-38 points) and Canadian provincial qualifications. The university has active North American recruitment and hosts information sessions in the US and Canada. Warwick's campus model is more familiar to North American students than city-centre UK universities, and its strong economics and business programmes attract students who might otherwise apply to top US schools.

📍 About Coventry
Despite its name, Warwick is actually located on the southern outskirts of Coventry in the West Midlands. London is just over an hour away by train, and Birmingham (the UK's second-largest city) is 25 minutes away. The surrounding Warwickshire countryside is attractive, and historic Stratford-upon-Avon (Shakespeare's birthplace) is nearby. Living costs on campus are moderate — significantly cheaper than London.
